Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What's the difference between infrared and traditional saunas?

Traditional saunas heat the air around you using a stove and rocks, typically reaching 160–200°F. You feel the heat intensely and can add steam by pouring water on the rocks.

Infrared saunas work differently — they emit infrared light that heats your body directly rather than the surrounding air. They operate at lower temperatures (120–150°F) but many people find they sweat more and tolerate the heat better. Infrared is also easier to install since it doesn't require ventilation or plumbing.

Neither is objectively better — it comes down to your preference and how you plan to use it.

Q: Do I need an electrician to install a sauna?

Most infrared saunas require a dedicated 20-amp, 120V circuit. Some larger models require 240V. We recommend having a licensed electrician verify your setup before the sauna arrives.

Outdoor barrel saunas with wood-burning heaters require no electrical connection at all — just a wood supply and good ventilation.

Q: How long does shipping take?

Shipping times vary by brand and model. Most products ship within 3–7 business days and arrive within 2–3 weeks via freight carrier. We'll send you tracking information as soon as your order ships, and the freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window.

Q: Do saunas come assembled?

Most saunas ship as kits and require assembly. Assembly difficulty ranges from straightforward (2–3 hours with basic tools) to more involved for larger outdoor units. Each product listing specifies what's included and what assembly looks like. Many customers complete assembly themselves; others hire a local handyman.

Q: What warranty comes with my sauna?

Warranty terms vary by brand and model, but most premium saunas include a 1–5 year manufacturer warranty covering structural components and heaters. As an authorized dealer, we can help you make a warranty claim directly with the manufacturer if needed.

Q: Can I use a sauna outdoors year-round?

Yes — outdoor barrel saunas are specifically designed for year-round use in all climates. The curved barrel design retains heat efficiently even in cold weather. Infrared saunas are generally designed for indoor or covered outdoor use and should be protected from direct rain and snow.

Q: What size sauna do I need?

For 1–2 people: a 1–2 person sauna (typically 4'x4' or 4'x6') is sufficient and the most affordable option. For families or frequent use with friends: a 3–4 person sauna gives everyone room to stretch out. For commercial or group use: we carry larger models on request.

When in doubt, size up — you'll appreciate the extra space.

Q: Do you offer financing?

We're working on adding financing options through Shop Pay Installments and Affirm. In the meantime, contact us and we'll see what we can do.

Q: What's your return policy?

Due to the size and freight nature of saunas, we handle returns on a case-by-case basis. If your sauna arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we'll make it right. Please review our full return policy before purchasing.
